Tang Band W8-1808
The R&D engineers of Tang Band obviously considered the general tendencies of full-range speaker applications when they designed their eight-inch series. That's why two very similar looking drivers were constructed. While the W8-1772 is suitable mainly for the back-loaded horns, the W8-1808 can be used in open-baffle, TL or in sealed box as a top of a multy-way speaker system. Both drivers have underhung magnet system, aluminum phase plug, very well designed die-cast basked with vented spider.

Conclusion
The response graphics of the W8-1808 rises very linear way with 1.25 dB/Oct. from 1 to 20 kHz on axis and we might assume, that it will require equalization. However the listening tests showed best result without any filtering. The response at 15º off axis is almost flat and very smooth, so with the right placement and direction of the speaker system a wide space of excellent stereo reproduction can be achieved.
