University Diffusicone Eight
The University Diffusicone series introduces a new approach of integrating the whizzer, which is connected to the speaker cone by perforated surround. To achieve better performance in the high frequency range, this driver has aluminum dust cap, connected directly to the voice coil, which is made of aluminum alloy too.

Conclusion
Unlike the similar drivers with a metal dustcap, the University Diffucone Eight behaves calm in the midrange bandwidth. It gives very good results in a open baffle construction.
